"I might've helped a very special girl from an interesting family..."
- Shinji's word after he got threatened for life.

The dad must’ve been head over heels happy af to train his son that had passion

This was really amazing. Shinji didn’t really want to get involved but he had to but in the end things worked out and he got himself a beautiful wife. Ayano and the Shinji’s dad gave him a reason to take his Karate seriously and it paid off. I’m sure Shinji’s dad is so proud.

I'd like to see an introvert actually good at martial arts, love it, and actually be good at it.

Yeaah respect to the mc he not only got a yakuza's daughter as his waifu but he mastered karate and achieved a black belt he did achieve great things indeed👍👍👍👍

Ayano gave Shinji a reason to take his karate training seriously and I'm sure both their fathers are happy. 😏

Would you look at that? A Shinji with a healthy father-son relationship.

Shinji was just just an average unmotivated student that did some Karate but all this will change when he saved pretty Hiragi from delinquents. His life will change because on her recommendation he was promptly employed by her father, an important Yakuza boss as a bodyguard for her daughter. In order to help her he took Karate lessons much more seriously and everything around him. Coming late he found out that she was kidnapped by rival Yakuza gang but saved her but they are dating now. Love is great for them ❤ 👍

Shinji should have told hid dad about his bodyguard job and asked to learn disarming, joint locks, and destruction techniques for life and death situations.

This is one giant Yakuza reference and I love it. Shinji Tanaka right off the bat.

This was so wholesome! Ayano is such a good girl for always being nice to Shinji no matter what and helping him take his karate training seriously. And Shinji is a good person for staying true to his word, and protecting Ayano no matter what. And now the two are married, this was such a wholesome and heartwarming story.

I would have told them straight up that I didn't want to be associated with the Yakuza or anyone even remotely associated with the Yakuza.  If they didn't like it, tough puppy poop...respectfully, of course.

I would like to see a story where its starts off like this but the guy doesn't want to be associated with anything Yakuza, but the girl still confesses to MC.  The MC tells the girl that he would be honored to be her friend but doesn't harbor ANY romantic feelings for her.  MC then get a normal girlfriend and eventually goes on to live a normal life.

Since the MC had to become the bodyguard of the girl, I thought that they was going to run into trouble if he didn't learn to fight properly instead of just showing off forms.

what i liked about this story is that it is established early on that mc has experience and not hiding it for the twist

This felt dumb.

The dude's like every mc, the girl is so hopeless that the time she actually need help she decides no, "hE wOuLd HaTe Me" even though there's a massive chance she could be killed. Her priorities are straight up dumb and twisted.

Also i felt it would've been more appropriate to have Shinji's father save the day once the rival yakuza realized Shinju's bluff. Teaching Shinji a lesson along the way that bluffs arent enough and you must grow, so Shinji decides to train sparring seriously.

She is like a morale booster in strategy games.
