In this video, I create 2 murrini (millefiori) cane from soft glass. Both are made with molds to simplify and perfect specific shapes - in this case a star and a flower.
A second video, accompanying this one, shows how to apply these murrini to beads.

Thank you so much for that simple, no nonsense tutorial! Now I'm itching to try it out with my lovely new borosilicate color rods. Yes, not soft glass, but I think the techniques you demonstrated will work just as well.

You make it look so easy! Great video. Can you tell me where to get the mold? Is this possible to do with MAP gas?

Jeannie - Do you use your nippers to cut the murrini into chips or do you use a different method? I'm worried about crunching up the glass. Any thoughts?
