THE FLOYD FOR PLAYERS WHO HATE FLOYDS

I have a confession to make... I... kinda hate Floyd Roses!

Hear me out! In this video we'll explore the good, the bad and the ugly... and perhaps, like me... you'll decide there's a better way!

Amazing opening track. Your chops and tone are crazy good!

If anyone is put off by the price of the VegaTrem VT1 UltraTrem, the VT1 Special is just as good. Only difference I can find is that the block on the UltraTrem is stainless steel, while the Special is brass, and the latter is 2/3 of the price. I have them in all my guitars now, along with some UltraTrems, but can't really say I hear much - if any - difference.

I just went to turn a compressor plugin on for some vocals, but I got an alert message saying “Sorry, all compression is utilized in the intro song of ::link to this video::”

I wish the Vega Trem was offered with the narrower spacing 10.5mm saddles

@sessionheroes
Years-long subscriber & fan here.
Mr Watkins, your wonderfully expressive, subtle changes in the onset of notes (different tones at the *onset of each note artistically chosen by varying pick angles, depth of pick, velocity, etc…) plus subtle, varied, slight movements into the notes and out of the notes …and more… in addition to what most players merely note—the vibrato—are immensely expressive and wonderfully executed (as always). And, as always, you create exquisite tones including those of our heroes. And, I appreciate your bends being in tune.
As a touring artist who worked with Grammy Winners in “commercial” & jazz & mostly touring Conductor of Symphony Orchestras these last decades… once I changed back to a non-Floyd tremolo WITH locking tuners AND a roller nut—I never went back.
I wish you many more rapturous musical moments. Greetings from the road, —Dr D
