🎥 CJ Big World - Episode 91｜After decades of experiencing Mid-Autumn Festival, I finally witnessed this atmosphere in Malaysia!
Mid-Autumn Festival is nothing new to us, but this year in Malaysia, we saw many cultural aspects and customs that we hadn't paid much attention to before.
From the lanterns adorning a 68-year-old shop in Bukit Mertajam, to the various mooncakes, Cantonese and Teochew-style offerings, and the "moon worship" custom at Queensbay Mall; then, in the evening, we participated in Mid-Autumn Festival activities at Estádio de Esplanade, where, in addition to performances, there were activities related to surname culture, traditional games, calligraphy, handicrafts, and costumes, with participants from different ethnic groups.
We also interviewed locals from different generations, listening to their stories of how they celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival in the past and present, and what cultural traditions they most wanted to pass on to the next generation.
Finally, we rushed to another Mid-Autumn Festival event in Bukit Mertajam, discovering that the festive atmosphere was strong from Penang Island to Seberang Perai.
While the ways of celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong and Malaysia aren't necessarily that different, what truly broadened our horizons this time was the richness of the activities and the level of participation.

大马的中秋节最美的地方就在于‘不同族群亦一同参与’。看到旧关仔角不同种族的人聚在一起，大山脚 68 年老店的传统灯笼，这才是真正的中华文化传承！这集真的长见识了！👍
