1:10:05 “it’s okay, I’ll take him to the win”. Most beautiful moment when you realize he’s not pushing to win anymore, he’s pushing to help another competitor reach their goal.

This is without a doubt one of the best running documentaries I've ever seen. Fantastic work.

Man, when Ollie was having a tough time and his pops told him he’s proud no matter what. That’s a strong father-son bond. Love to see it

This was the sickest thing I ever seen. I never seen a human being totally empty like this in the tank. wow I am stunned, I am in love. I don't know what to say I just want to start to run and never stop.

I knew this race was epic! But this documentary absolutely captured all the feelings. I felt like I was experiencing the various journeys of the runners along the way. So, so, sooo good!

"Better than Meth" --That would be the most awesome slogan/shirt for this race!

putting the one guy in the ambulance who ran 200 miles and the medic says: i cant even drive that far

That was one of the best documentaries about racing that I've seen. Really inspiring!

I was watching this live from my corner of Canada, tuning in every hour for ~10 minutes each lap once it was about 60.
I remember feeling very wrung out as each incredible runner bowed out until it was Phil, Sam, and Harvey. Then I was just waiting, biting my nails.
The last couple laps where Sam was just hurting was tough - I know what pneumonia is like, and I can’t imagine how deep he had to dig for those last few yards.
Then at the start of 102, when he got into racer’s stance, I knew this was it. I have to admit there were some serious tears.

This documentary brought every emotion back, all of them. It was also great to see the early victories of folks who came for PBs not last one standing.
That’s the real heart of the Backyard. The early ones who leave it all out there but have a new best ever then the last one standing - they all proved something. Running changes a person, at their core. And those of us privileged enough to witness it are also changed for the better.
Kudos for wringing out so many tears.

Hell yeah!! It's was amazing to watch this. Thank you!!

You know shit's real when you get to 367km and there's still 30 minutes left in the run time

To the Athletes… could not be more in awe more humbled and more inspired from watching your deeply vulnerable journey … ultra culture is so powerful

To the race director and race team and volunteers … this is such a beautiful part of the world - thanks for sharing it with the wider trail and ultra and running families

To the production team… incredible work best ultra trail doco for a long time

Ollie did Fantastic! what an amazing kid to achieve that at 14, His mum and dad must be so proud! when i was 14 i was playing call of duty and pulling my pecker LOL, to have that level of discipline and determination at such a young age is a special thing, well done to everyone who competed! so inspiring!

I discovered ultrarunning last year, even though I'm ultrarunning yet. Im growing in the sport, step by step.  Ok this magnificent doc I could really see why running is an extraordinary sport. This doc is showing only 50% of what running is. The other 50% are inside their hearts, their souls and the experience  had within them. Congratulations on this amazing production. All participants are extraordinary.

Sam came to break the world record, and even though he didn't win that's exactly what he did. At 1:10:10 when he says "I'll take him to the win" he knew exactly what he was pushing those last few rounds for, even though he knew he wasn't going to win - for me, that was the peak of this race.

Great production value and amazing story telling! This was incredible. A credit to all behind the camera and out on the loop. What a moment to capture.

Sam Harvey is a KILLER ! Can not wait for Bigs. This event is what sucked me into Backyard ultras. The Harvey Show ! Also, Phil Gore obviously a maniac.

Here after the LSU 2026. Absolute cinema. The goats of the game.

The things these 3 men did is beyond me. The pure will, strength and endurance to get to 600 km is inhumane. They even manage to keep the spirits high and crack jokes after 600 km?!?!?!? I mean damn. They are amazing! Kudos to everyone!

7 weeks until my first backyard in Zeewolde (Netherlands) and team WorldChampionships is at the same time, can't wait!
This and the 1212documentary are so insightful and inspiring!
