"Just when I thought I was out...they pull me back in" Welcome back, Mr Nash

We genuinely missed you, Ed.

The irony that Northrop later merged with Grumman, who knew a thing or two about carrier aircraft.

Hooray! ED is back.
Edit: Two part story? Wooh! What have we done to be treated so nicely? Thank you ED.

I worked for years with a 462XX USAF evaluator who was part of the F-16 & F-17 prototype evaluation team.  He said the biggest problem with the YF-17 was it wasn't "done".  The missile system and cannon systems were not integrated.  They were there in physical form but you could not properly cycle the systems.  The whole of the YF-17 needed another two years of work.  The YF-16 was pretty much done and the F-16 went on to a long successful life with the USAF and other air forces of the world.

I'm kind of a 'Northrop Fan' Here in Norway we have the only surviving example of the Northrop N-3PB Nomad. Beautiful plane with an interresting history.

I've been having a rough go of it lately and wasn't looking forward to today. Seeing that Ed Nash put out a new video made my day a little brighter. I don't know what it is about Ed, but his videos are simply the best.

Welcome back Ed!

Nice to see another video from you. Hope that life is treating you well.

They took away the P-530's multirole capability for the light fighter competition.  Funny that after the YF-17 lost it, the eventual FA-18 went back to multirole in a big way.  Of course, so did the F-16.  😅👍

Nice to have you back.

My mom named me Northrop Cobra assuming the FY-17 would win the bid So, you can imagine how disappointed she was when it wasn’t selected

Enjoy Ed's videos, concise, to the point. Welcome back.

Woohoo! I'm so stoked you're back in my feed! Great topic, well represented as always, Sir!

Oh hey welcome back man
Got bored and wanna chill with us talking about planes again, eh?
Come right in brooo

Thank the Gods you are back!!!!! And I love your “because……reasons!” So dry and funny! Cracks me up!!

I'm surprised mentioning the Fighter Mafia didn't cause Lazerpig to spontaneously apparate into this video...

Thank you Mr. Nash! So happy to see all of the “you are missed” comments.

Welcome back.i need a 1/72 scale model of this

Thanks for the video Ed! Looking forward to part 2.
