I've just bought one for repairing dog harnesses and to be honest it looks like it was made in a blacksmiths shop! I'm learning as much as possible before I even assemble it and this video is a great help. The wooden stand is a must I think if the machine is that unstable. Many thanks for your helpful video.
This is a really helpful video! Have been eye balling a hand-crank machine for putting patches on hats for a while now. But this makes me more convinced I can make it work.
I'm considering buying one but I usually use wax thread for my leather when I sew by hand, can this machine perform well with the thicker wax thread compared to the thin one used in the video?
Hello, I'm from Brazil and I have one of these machines that I bought, but unfortunately I can't sew because the thread always breaks. Do you have any advice on how to solve this problem? 🇧🇷
I am running into an issue where the thread from the top isn't actually stitching into the thread from the bobbin, no matter what I check, how many times I adjust the tension, this is a frustrating piece of equipment. Any suggestions on fixes?
I have recently bought one of these machines and I’m very happy with the result. As well as disposing of the stand I would suggest that you also discard the thread that comes with the machine and also the instructions which are useless. Do you have any advice on how to sew piping? I’m restoring a chair with a leather seat. The walking foot supplied seems incapable of achieving a good result. I’d be happy to make modifications but as only one of these parts is supplied I don’t want to risk damaging it. I’m unable to find spare parts for this particular foot, so do you know of anything that may be compatible with this machine?
