Before « Bodak Yellow », Cardi B was this Insta-famous ex-reality tv sensation, preaching her life tricks about budgeting schmoney and handling your man. Today, acquired a new rapper status, working hard on going beyond « Bodak Yellow », to not remain a one-hit wonder.
Just before she performed for the first time in Paris, we sat with her to talk about fashion, image and politics, and also celebrate her recent engagement with Offset from Migos.

cardi is just .. good for the culture in my opinion , she never shy away from her past and keeps it real about her presence and just talks with no filter - “it’s how I feel , so be it!” She may be media trained but something still rings true with her words . She really like a real live motto of BE YOU !

I love her, her answers are so genuine. you can tell she's herself ❤

The question about "dressing like a rapper" shows that this journalist doesn't really understand Hip Hop women's culture, which really came a lot from strip club culture, where Cardi came up. So no dummy, this style isn't new to her.

6:20 cardi inhaled deeply and asked herself “did this female not pay attention when I told her I’ve always been into fashion”

She basically said, you can't just call people strippers. They need to earn the right due to the hardships that strippers face and the hustle required to do the job. Okay Cardi, keep it really real. She's not the very articulate, but she's not dumb. She's very clear.

Y'all are saying she's uneducated because of the way she speaks when English is her 2nd language. Y'all don't call other Spanish women that don't have black in them uneducated for speaking broken English.

I love how she's grown so much. She doesn't shy away from her past and bluntness, but she's learned to communicate in a more calm and collected way without compromising her morals and message <3
