3D Blu-ray is a wonderful technology. All the IMAX documentaries are amazing in 3D, especially ones with underwater sequences!

Damn. Jurassic Park, Titanic, Pacific Rim and Black Panther all have stunning 3D conversions.
And Hugo is one of the best 3D movies out there, and was also shot natively in 3D. I am very surprised you didn't mention any of them.

Great video bro 🎉

Very glad the tv is still getting some use :)

I've loved 3-D technology since I was in high school when I took my own 3-D photos. I have them still. When I was in college in the early 90's there was a local revival theater that showed anaglyph 3-D films..."The Maze," "It cam from Outer Space," "The Mad Magician," "Creature from the Black Lagoon" and others. Many years later I purchased a 3-D TV and Blu ray player and have a large collection. I take very good care of the TV and the player.

Everest was excellent in 3d on my system. Really enjoyed it and was convinced it must have been filmed in native 3d. Was very surprised that it was a conversion.

Big fan of 3d 310 and counting just preordered the valerion visionmaster max projector just for 3d viewing

I am waiting for the next Tintin, hopefully one day

69 in 3d ?  Oooh, Matron!  🤣

YouTube bollocks 🤣🤣🤣 tell it as it is mate.

I also wear spectacles and for that very reason I’m in the anti 3D camp. Just doesn’t appeal to me at all.

Good to see the TARDIS’s getting some screen time there 👍👍

I wonder if 3D turned off people who don't normally wear glasses and thought it was a hassle to wear. I've always been a fan of 3D (at least since it became available in full color), but I've always worn eyeglasses, so it wasn't a big deal for me to have to wear them to see 3D.

3D done properly as per James Cameron the 3D is fantastic. But everyone jumped on the bandwagon and it didn’t get done properly. When I say properly the film needs to be shot in 3D and the film needs to suit the process. A lot of films were upgraded post production which generally never worked. It’s a shame it hasn’t been adopted properly and it’s gotten a bad name because of not being implemented properly. I’m a big fan of 3D done properly.

I don't think I've ever been more miffed than I am about how 3D wasn't a success. Opponents to 3D seem to give two main reasons:

1. They don't want to wear the glasses.

2. They think it's gimmicky.

Well-implemented 3D is far from gimmicky. In fact, my favourite movies in 3D are those that add depth and thus immersion; not pop outs, which are gimmicky if they're used just because they can be used. As for the glasses, I really don't know what to say... Is it really such an inconvenience to wear them whilst you're sat in front of a screen? I'm a prescription glasses wearer and even having to put them over those glasses isn't a big deal. I genuinely don't get it. Is it a vanity thing? If it is, I'm still baffled because you're either in a dark cinema where everyone is wearing them or else you're with family and friends at home, who are also presumably wearing them. There's even the option of watching alone. Are movies slightly darker? Yes, but the extra dimension gives you soooo much more immersion. Immersion is key for me - movies are escapism and the more immersion, the further you get to escape. I'd rather watch 3D than even 40K, TBH. An improvement in pixel density will never beat 3D in my eyes; I'll always choose the 3D option if it's available.
