never heard the term baggot or goretard but i for sure gonna use those now, fucking hilarious. Also prices are nuts, like i at times feel like an idiot owning 3 pairs of pants, but one was 112 bucks, other 69(nice), and third for 30. Only first one new, other two used(but seemed like used a few days at most) from ebay. all great tech and membrane and even combined i dont reach the half of the price of goretards lol
edit: oh btw the other day some dude said the me that his [ak] is more important than actual snowboard, had me stunned
What ruined the modern baggy look are the goddamn elastic hems that really make them look like bags, like some clown pants. Plus the cut is probably made too extreme to highlight the 'bagginess'. The 2000s baggy look is what I grew to love. That actually looked good when not done to the extreme like some of the FODT riders😄
My snowboard pants are literally 20 years old Burton pants. They aren't totally waterproof anymore, also I'm slightly fatter than I used to be so I can't latch them anymore and have to use a belt. Also they are ugly as sin with this weird plaid yellow and brown pattern, super baggy since they are from the mid 2000s. Also the lining tore in the back pocket so if I forget and put my wallet back there it'll fall inside the pants and I have to play this little game passing them up my leg like I'm feeling myself up. All things considered, I'm pretty happy with them. They're good for when it's warm and when it's cold I just put warmer tights on underneath. The waterproofing is an issue but like you said I ben doing this a while and can deal with a cold wet ass. Or I can always just spray them with some poisonous chemical
I used to skate for a few years until 2020 where baggy pants were the thing and decided to get more into snowboarding this season, i dont even have tiktok or any other social media downloaded but i bought empyre pants which were the baggiest pants i could find lmao, apparently im a baggot now but i love it
