The new Renault Niagara makes its World Premiere, bringing Renault into a new generation of pickups designed specifically for Latin America.
With 4 wheel drive capability, modern Google technology and the comfort of a sport utility vehicle, the Niagara takes a very different approach to the traditional pickup.
The Renault Niagara combines everyday comfort with the capability and practicality expected from a pickup truck. Its bold exterior features an upright grille, RENAULT lettering, muscular wheel arches and an available 4 wheel drive system designed for challenging terrain.
Power comes from a 1.3 liter turbocharged engine producing 156 horsepower in the 2 wheel drive version and 160 horsepower in the 4 wheel drive model, with up to 270 Newton meters of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6 speed manual transmission and a 6 speed dual clutch automatic depending on the version.
Inside, the Niagara moves closer to a modern sport utility vehicle with a 10.1 inch multimedia display, 10.2 inch digital instrument panel, wireless smartphone charging, available ambient lighting and OpenR Link with Google built in. Google Gemini brings an artificial intelligence powered conversational assistant into the cabin.
The Niagara also offers a 938 liter cargo bed, up to 654 kilograms of payload capacity and as much as 233 millimeters of ground clearance. Renault developed the truck specifically for Latin America and will manufacture it at the Santa Isabel plant in Córdoba, Argentina.
