Nintendo games have great music. Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Luigi's Mansion - Nintendo knows how to write a tune! But it turns out many of these songs have unknown and unheard parts to them, older versions which you might not know or parts which were completely cut. So today we're going to be looking at 7 of them!

My first realization that we don't always hear all of a video game song came in Mega Man 3, when I found out that pausing as you drop into a Proto Man area let you hear more of his whistle song.

"Luigi calmly whistles"

Proceeds to whistle at 150 decibals

the original luigi's mansion theme sounds like when i tried to make dubstep in 6th grade

I just feel sad for Miyamoto and how IGN gave him the middle finger.

I have a conspiracy that thomas lied in this video and only made it to show his sick piano skills and i dont blame him

What dark web website do you visit to get all this unknown information

Never forget Koji Kondo wrote ALL the music in OoT. No wonder he stepped back from composing afterwards.

The best part about Luigi humming the Luigi’s Mansion theme is that it becomes shakier and more high pitched the lower your health. As Luigi gets more nervous and scared, his humming actively reflects it

Crazy to think that iconic OoT Hyrule Field theme was that close to being in TP! I've had that soundtrack CD here for years and never gave it a proper listen.

Actually Super Mario sunshine’s original music is found in the game and when I played it I found it unintentionally if you watch the cutscenes until the part when Mario says the games name and you wait a little more you’ll hear the music and some gameplay of the full game I remember I was shocked to find that out

Honestly, the beta Luigi’s mansion theme is an absolute bop you gotta admit.

Bro the og luigis mansion theme is lowkey banger

"Please don't take pictures or leak this game." I'm still wondering who that normal looking girl in the straw hat is. Didn't see her anywhere in the final game.

« The ghosts themselves sing the game theme »

proceeds to sound like Mario maker 5yo spring levels

This seems to be a little know fact because every time the early Mario Sunshine theme is talked about no one knows why it is still in the game's files. This is because it is actually is still used! If you wait on the starting "Press Start" screen for long enough, a demo of the game will start playing showing you all the areas and things to do in the game, and the background music? You guessed it, is the Space world theme. Just an interesting reuse for the song.

Hopefully the attention to sound detail will be in Luigis Mansion 3

I kind of would’ve liked to have heard twilight princess’ alternate take on hyrule field in the game. I still like the amazing hyrule field theme that we got, but still, maybe it could’ve been for some other part of the game?
