Pokemon Scalpers Are Running Out of Options

This will be my last Pokestreetz/Scalper Video for a while. I feel the word scalper is being thrown around way too much lately in this community and is being overused / misused quite a lot - and I do not want to perpetuate the issue with this. I’ll still be talking about news going on within the Pokemon community, but the scalper videos are definitely taking a pause.

I hope you can all understand my decision with this. I know a lot of you love these videos and are able to understand the nuance in what makes someone a scalper, but I’m uncomfortable with the way this word is being thrown at everyone and everything in the Pokemon hobby these days.

Targets by us enforce buy limits and dozens still line up for hours. I waited in line two months ago, and heard several of them ask employees, "What should I get?? Whats good?!"

TLDR; Waiting 6-8 hours for products they know nothing about and they'll be lucky to make $100 total before fees. What are they even doing anymore?!

A local small but very busy quarterly card show has implemented new rules that no vendors are allowed to buy or sell any sealed product bigger than a booster bundle. If caught the organisers will ban the vendor from selling at any subsequent shows.

In Japan, they sell you a pack but open it right away so you can't resell it. They limit one pack per customers. Plus, many retailers ask questions about Pokemon before making a sale. I think all retailers should follow this practice. It would help separate resellers from true fans who want to buy the product.

I kid you not, I went to my local Walmart a few days ago, and they had a group of people waiting for a Pokemon card restock. I overheard a grown woman literally complaining to the other grown men waiting for Pokemon cards, COMPLAIN that Target wouldn't change their "2 products per day" policy for her.

I'm so glad the stores are starting to fight back against this nonsense.
