My take on the optical camo system in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. It's more useful in open combat than in stealth, since the enemy AI in this game isn't great, but it is an effective system without being overpowered.

I apologize for the fan noise in this recording, my microphone was not set up properly. However, after the recording I have fixed this issue, so it shouldn't appear in later videos.

I personally find the optical camo DOES make a difference especially on the higher difficulties. It does give you a little extra time on your visual detection gauge from both drones & Sentinel.
Then if you do pair the optical camo with your perks Slim Shadow, Sensor Hack, & either Panther or Ecshelon class it grants you further bonus to stealth and detection! Put on 1 of Sam Fisher's splinter goggles for better night vision & you're near unstoppable, even in Extreme difficulty!
It's great & I LOVE IT!

The Fact that the AI teammate get the same effect as you do makes it even better! I now use command on them more often than before because Optical Camo drastically decrease the chance for them being detect by enemies.

I feel like it's a cheat code when fully upgraded but I love it because it's effective

Awesome Info! I just got the game and am 4 days in on intel recce on the updates and tactics and weapons and gear and MAN is there a TONNE of cool stuff now 🤯🤩. I'm a Sam Fisher diehard fan so the Echelon playstyle is my go-to. This optical camera will put the finishing touch on the 3rd and 4th echelon custom loadouts 😎👌👻. Are there any synergies to combining this Optical Camo with Panther class and max stealth rating? Thinking of also using the Bullpup PDR with this since it has good range and damage comparable to the Koblin due to the supressor dmg negation perk....

It‘s weird how I can identify an Asian-American just by the sound of the voice now. Guess I‘ve watched too much Yong Yea XD
Very nice review. Personally, I‘ve not really used the OpCam so far. Been playing Metal Gear games so long that I‘ve learned to do stealth the old-fashioned way without such fancy gadgets. But it is a nice attroutrement to have in my back pocket just in case.
