Today, I feel a little more hopeful as I slowly make this old house a better place to live. I'm truly grateful to the kind woman who brought me rice and some things I needed. Her kindness means so much to me.
I know there is still a lot of work ahead, but being able to earn a little money, plant my own vegetables, and prepare a home for my daughter gives me the strength to keep going.
