I remember when me and my girlfriend saw Mutant Mayhem, I was the only one in the entire screen who got excited at them showing the shredder at the end .

Cop Casey is really gross, now that I'm saying it out loud

THE ALTERNATIVE RENDITION OF THE OPENING OF TMNT II IS SO FUCKING GOOD AAAAA

26:50 That's because it is! If you watch the making of on the DVD. They admit they made a rough cut of the raph and Leo fight in CGI first to prove the turtles could look alright in CGI. They literally only got the green light to make a new turtles movie because of that fight scene being shown to execs. There was no script for the movie just the idea that it had to include the Raph and Leo Fight. That's also why it has the highest quality animation in the movie, because they worked on that scene for the entire development time of the movie.

So the thing with Secret of the Ooze doing a bunch of shit that seems like a ripoff of the cartoon is that the licensing deal for the movies only covered material from the comics, not the TV show. So broad concepts like the turtles having different masks, their love of pizza, saying cowabunga etc. were all usable, but TV-specific characters like Bebop and Rocksteady were not. Is this incredibly stupid? Yes, but that's the nature of licensing deals.

How is Ninja Turtles so consistently good? Every single iteration does something really cool and innovative. I’ve never seen another franchise this successful with experimentation.

When any other franchise tries to do what TMNT does, it blows up in their faces. But Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who fight aliens, evil ninjas, and other animal mutants, is just crazy enough of an idea to work.

Yayyy. Now I got something to listen to in the background while I'm at work

To be fair Frankenstein did the "English speaking in human character befriends blind guy" trope a long time ago already

Dont compare the loud bay turtles to the hulk this is a man who has consistently avoided detection from the entire us military now thats stealthy

I don't know if I'm sufficiently angry that TMNT 3 has been retroactively called "Turtles In Time" after decades of people accidentally mixing up that movie and the superior video game.

I think were entering the trend of Xavier making a big compilation of certain video topics to hold us over until the real next video upload.

One thing I love about the 2012 crossovers is the implication that 80s Shredder and Krang are actually universe-ending dangerous with the proper resources at their disposal like good tech and competent henchman like 2012 Bebop and Rocksteady my beloveds

In mild defense of Secret of the Ooze: I think Keno serves an entirely different purpose from Casey. It's kind of a dropped arc in the movie, but the part where Keno tells Splinter "You can't keep me here!" and Splinter responds "No...I cannot." is clearly meant to be Splinter realizing that he doesn't have the right to keep the Turtles hidden from the world against their will. It picks up from earlier in the movie where he's telling them that they can never take part in the surface world (except for Pizza). It's kind of dropped after that point for, well, Vanilla Ice, but it does serve a purpose.

4:39- I was just gonna say "What about when you can see Donatello's actors face through the costumes mouth?"... but then you go and bring it up before I could even finish my gODDAMN sentence hahaha

Banger my favorite part was when he was actually a clone eating the babies

I guess Xavier is a TMNT guy now.

“We guarantee an ass kicking in  30 minutes or less” 😂😂 The intro was awesome 👏

If there's one thing I don't like about the first movie, it's the fact that the turtles themselves don't really have a definitive, story moving victory that really declares them as the heroes they are. They take out a couple of crooks at the very beginning and a whole bunch of nameless Foot clan towards the end, but that's about it. Splinter defeats Shredder in a single move, and even Casey manages to defeat his right-hand man.

29:01 he doesnt get mistaken, the stone monster sorta leader one is basically like “oh fuck, winters wants to let us die, but we wanna rule the world! we’ll kidnap this turtle freak who we know isn’t one of the 13, but winters is such a dumbass he won’t notice!” the stone monsters are the villains. the turtles then have to save leo from getting like vaporized by the alignment of stars or some shit. LOVED this movie, btw.

posting here to confirm to the almighty algorithm, that yes, please show me more xavier.
