The Yankees are down 0-2 and their season is on the line. Evan & Tiki debate what Aaron Boone must change for Game 3, including possible lineup shakeups involving Anthony Volpe, Jose Caballero, Jazz Chisholm and Trent Grisham.

They also discuss why the Yankees desperately need a spark, whether Aaron Boone is overthinking his decisions, and Evan makes the case for finding a way to get Aaron Judge back on the postseason roster.

The only way you can be a “big Jazz fan” is if you’re a Mets fan. No Yankees fan with half their marbles wants this guy on the field.

Boone is like a roulette player who’s so convinced his 3 bets on red that landed black will be red if he keeps playing red that’s Boone with the lineup

Evan i have a very simple answer why they haven't put Judge on the roster yet and it has nothing to do with ethics. It's the same reason they didnt put him on the roster at the beginning of the series because they don't feel he's healthy enough to play and they're not willing to risk him tearing his achillies and be out all of next year when he's not healthy enough to play right now.

Evan is right on the injury thing

Volpe at second Jose at 3rd. Volpe doesn’t have the arm. And NO Trent

Here’s my Lineup for tonight:
-Rice DH
-Bellinger LF
-Lombard SS
-Garcia Jr 1B
-Ramos RF
-Jones CF
-Caballero 3B
-Wells C
-Volpe 2B

Breaking up the lefties with Lombard batting third who is my most trusted right handed batter rn

I’m taking whomever Craig bet on…

Volpe and Caballero will help this lineup

Thinking they need to replace the leadership as well as retool the lineup.

There’s nothing to blow up. It’s not a very good roster. You can try to spray this turd with cologne but it’s still a turd.

Outside of the two games against Boston this offense without Judge has been painful to watch all season. The Yankees need to blow up the management staff. We know that won’t happen. But if Cashman and Boone are going to stay, they need to completely change their approach to roster building this off season. It’s ground hog day. We get a team that isn’t good enough in the playoffs because they can’t field or put the ball in play.

It’s no wonder that a management staff that doesn’t prioritize putting the ball in play continuously leads to a team that gets exposed when the other team puts the ball in play.

SWEPT......LOL

Only put McMahon at 3rd, IF we have a lead after 7 innings. I might DH Stanton. He might run into one with 4 ABs.

If they survive this game, Fried can go Paternity before the next game

Caballero is the best 2nd baseman on the team and they need his running game (reined in). I'd like to see him get 1/2 a season with Lombard to see what develops. Volpe had a borderline (weak) arm at ss, he's not a 3d baseman.

@nypinstripes23 9 hours ago

Volpe at 3rd base is completely asinine and unnecessary. He plays second base or nothing. Case closed.

@thomasking4031 1 hour ago

Evan demands it so I’m sure the Yankees will be right on it.

@jackfrost5173 9 hours ago

McMahon will be at third tonight because Boone will want his "Defense" out there for Fried. Do I agree with it ? No. I would probably go Caballero at 2nd or in the OF and move Jazz or Grish to the bench

1:04 Boone doesn’t understand how to motivate people. I wanted Volpe at 2B through the playoffs. He and Lombard had kind of a friendly competition going. They hit grand slams on back to back nights. It was feeling right. Also Jones was better in center field. But Boone just doesn’t have a feel for the team. He never does. 8 lefties in the lineup is awful. I want to see Cab at 3B and Volpe at 2B tonight. You need more righties in the lineup. All lefties is actually making it easier for the OPP pitcher because they only need to game plan for one side of the plate. How does a major league manager not know this.
