For me, genuinely the scariest thing ever is being sat on my death bed when I’m an old man and feeling disappointed or feeling like I wasted my time….

I remember hearing a theory that says that when your life flashes before your eyes, it’s your mind looking back over everything it knows in order to find a way to save itself. There was a case where a motorcyclist got in a wreck and he said that he saw his life flashes before his eyes as he lie on the ground, because his mind was trying to find a way to stop him from dying. I always thought this take was interesting because it made sense. From a natural perspective, your body will do anything in its power to preserve itself.

The character "Am" from the short story "I Have No Mouth, And I must Scream" is easily the most sadistic form of fiction I can think of.

22:20 that was so wholesome awww 😭

Joe: deep philosophical talk about evil
Chat: “MASSIVE?”

My dad when he says we need to talk is the scariest thing imaginable💀
(1k likes. Thx)

Most terrifying thing I can imagine is the stuff I think about before I’m boutta sleep😭😭

The reason most monsters in movies or tv shows aren't all that scary is because after a certain point it becomes unrealistic, thats why uncanny valley is so scary or unsettling because its so close to being a human it's just off.

25:56 I just wanted to see some scary monsters not to question my whole existence 😢

For me, personally it has to be some form of cognito- or info hazard that would result in eternal suffering or something.

27:08 my granddad recently passed at 87 years due to cancer. He fought it for nearly 2 years and had multiple surgeries, but it kept coming back. Near the end before his passing he had a stroke when trying to walk to the bathroom and fell injuring his head and breaking several ribs. We had no choice but to deny surgery since he had not much time left. He was so doped up on pain medication that he wasn’t mentally there with us anymore. He could open his eyes but he could not speak. During his last couple days in hospice before he took his last breath, he started to finally speak and would utter significant moments from his early childhood and early marriage. He talked about going on a cruise and the time they went to Mexico and talking about a pretty young lady he got married to (my grandma). I like to think that he knew we were there with him in his last moments and that he could hear us. It’s amazing how the brain works sometimes. I miss you grandad❤

Imagine a skin walker posing as you after it kills you, and you are a ghost... you can only watch as it lives your life. It doesn't  hurt anyone besides well, you, and it acts perfectly like you.

1:50 Joe hitting the “👨”

1:02 Probably your friend. Because a doppelganger of you, you are st least know isn't you. A doppelganger of your friend can fool you, make you question yourself. You don't know if your friend is going through something, or trying to kill you.

I think the scariest thing I can imagine is something every human shares which is the fear of the unknown. We fear certain humans because of their unknown intentions. We fear the dark because we don’t know what’s there and we’re uncertain about our surrounding. Lastly, we fear death the most because we have no idea what’s it’s like or what’s afterwards unless you’re super religious.

26:29 it’s sort of like how you described. over a month ago my brother tried killing me with a knife. while it was happening it felt like i was in a dream, it didn’t feel real and i was just hoping it was a bad dream and that i would wake up. when i was bleeding out i accepted that i was possibly going to die and i just remember thinking “im really gonna fucking die right now”. i wasn’t able to cry, i was just having a panic attack and was terrified. it’s hard to think when you’re in shock, all your thoughts feel scrambled but the feeling of impending doom and fear of dying + adrenaline is so intense that you pretty much dissociate. my life didn’t flash before my eyes or anything, didn’t see a light or any of that. was just sitting there waiting for the ambulance to arrive. death is just as scary as you imagine

1:24 THE HEADSET DENT 😭😭😭😭😭😭

The scariest thing is the fear of unknown, you dont know whats gonna take place tomorrow, u might think that ur grandma is gonna die soon but u dont know when u are going to die

The scariest monster for me is that which takes shape of the consequence of my attempt to think of the scariest monster I can imagine...but I can't- and that's terrifying to me, not being able to imagine the scariest monster, for it implies that there are monsters beyond my imagination.

More scary than an uncanny someone else is a perfect copy of you, trying to kill you. Hunting you. Something that not only looks like youbut understands you and uses it to hunt you. Possibly even taking your place afterward?
