Coach, my late father used to say,"son look at Dakich on defense getting down in a stance".

I’ve been an IU fan my whole life (now 51 yrs). I’ve lived iIN my whole life. I knew all the players. I’d go play basketball down the alley by myself playing the game in my head pretending to be the players I watched. I remember watching you play and always loved watching you as an IU assistant coach trying to hold Knight back when he would blow a stack which was a lot. We watched all the games. I cherish my childhood growing up in Indiana and watching IU basketball.

Thanks, DD. This was my childhood. My dad played one season (1956-57), and when he brought me home from the hospital when i was born, he laid me on the floor in front of Channel 4 an IU game and said "get used to it, son." I never had a chance. That place - IU - is my second home and that building is in my blood like it is yours. Thank you!

Coach, my son went to Indiana basketball camp in several times when you were an assistant coach there in the early 90's. He learned alot from you and Coach Knight and the staff. He said you made them run the bleachers. If its true, and they weren't playing well, good for you! He is now 47 and he and myself continue to be avid fans. I have been one since my grandad and dad made me one when Jimmy Rayl was there. I love your wit , knowledge and "regular guy" talk about college basketball. Oh yeah, one more thing, I saw the game when you held Jordon to 13 in '84. Thanks again Coach!

Great stuff Mr. Dakich. Proud to be a Hoosier and look forward to IU being a powerhouse again. And I`m a Purdue alum and Diehard Boiler fan. It`s better for us all when IU is great. Best wishes...!
