No move spamming, no huge chaining spots, very few reversals. It's amazing how these guys could tell a more compelling story than 90% of matches today with just jabs and hooks

This was how to build a rivalry. This lasted months.

The Rockers-Rose/Sommers rivalry might be my all time favorite tag team feud ever. Terribly underappreciated.

This match is incredible, brilliant work by all 4 men. This could have been a WCCW or Mid South match. Reminded me of Sheepherders vs The Fantastics. Within a year the AWA was toast, hard to believe.

I still remember seeing this as a kid. I'd never seen blood like that in a match.

So that's why The Rockers feuded with Power & Glory - they stole their sunglasses!

I was to young to remember but for some reason I saw this whole match.

Rose and Somers made the Midnight Rockers stars.

Sherri Martel from her shoot interview brought me here.

According to Pat Patterson this was the match that brought the Rockers to the WWF. He saw this match on television, was impressed with BOTH of them and went straight to Vince the next day.

Remember watching this as a 12 year old and never seeing so much blood before....great feud

Even though the AWA was dying, this feud does not get the credit it deserves. Every time these 2 teams hooked up it was a solid to great match. R.I.P. Playboy Buddy Rose, Pretty Boy Doug Somers, and Sensational Sherri Martel.

This is one of my favorite matches of all time. Very underrated. Buddy Rose was so damn good, then you have Sherri Martel on the outside. They helped put Marty and Shawn on the map at a very early point in their careers.
