Actually the most skillfull passage of play was how India played out Keshav Maharaj with loss of just one wicket. On this outing- it was almost impossible to bat as it was spinning big. That is real skill which foreign batters have not learned.

India are insane, just unreal. The way they have showed no team is at their level is unbelievable. Levels ahead

To be candid, the pitch we encountered was extremely challenging, more like a 260-run pitch rather than a high-scoring one. The spinners posed a significant threat, and the ball didn't come onto the bat easily. In such tricky conditions, an all-out attacking approach wouldn't have been effective. Instead, we needed someone to anchor the innings, allowing the rest of the team to build around that foundation. Kohli's decision to play cautiously and not take unnecessary risks was instrumental in reaching the final score.

It's important to emphasize that Indian fans prioritize team success over individual milestones. While we do celebrate personal achievements, winning the title holds far more significance. The team itself shares this perspective. For instance, Rohit Sharma is a great example of a player who has shifted his approach for the benefit of the team. In the past, he used to build his innings patiently, like in the 2019 worldcup , when he scored centuries while maintaining a steady presence at the crease. Now, he's sacrificing his chances at big scores for the sake of providing quick starts, a move that has garnered praise from Indian fans.

In this team, Kohli's role is to act as the adhesive that holds the innings together, allowing the rest of the squad to bat around him. He's executing this duty exceptionally well, and it's an essential part of our team's strategy and success.

11:17 what Tendulkar meant when he said "it took 365 days for me to go from 49 to 50" is that in 2023, Tendulkar got to his 50th birthday. He was born in 1973.

This is why Kohli fans worship him so much. Dude just makes it look so easy. Easily India's greatest batsman (bar Sachin ofc) and I think easily top 5 of all time. That said, I believe Jaddu should've been MOTM. Incredible all round performance (as per usual) and like Kohli, is likely India's greatest all rounder (bar Kapil Dev).

Absolute beauty from Virat Kohli..

Great video. Amazing way of narrating Kohli's journey! :)
Yes, there is a cultural context to reaching milestones in India. It is not just Kohli's milestone of equalling Sachin's record. In some ways, seeing Tendulkar, Kohli & Rohit on the list of most ODI centuries inspires an entire nation where cricket is worshipped and motivates the team as well. There is a reason why milestones are so celebrated. It is a record that may be etched in cricket history books forever, especially with ODI cricket declining. Many criticised Kohli for being selfish while reaching his 100s in WC. However, he has a much deeper, intimate understanding of the pitch and the game than any of us sitting here. He knows exactly how to pace his innings and what would be an above par score..

One thing that is different in this world cup is that toss isn’t a deciding factor, even though teams have defended well

Hare Rama🎊Happy Birthday Virat Kohli🎊
Bhagwan bless you and your family and give you all a long Healthy life🙏😊🕉️.

India have been amazing, but the  real hard work starts at the semi stage. I’m sure Sharma will be working on keeping everyone relaxed and focussed. None of what they’ve done so far will matter if they don’t lift the trophy.

6:10 FINALLY they get it!! The cultural perspective and the impact such things done by our heroes has on the team, the fans and the nation in general. ✅👑

Cameron has a very good energetic vibe about him . He should be a regular on this channel and start his youtube channel as well. Very talented cricket content creator, analyst and pundit

Marco Jansen was clearly nervous and that was reflected in the wides he bowled in the 1st over and he was clearly rattled by Rohit and this was very similar to Zaheer Khan’s 1st over in the 2003 WC final against Ghilcrist. That 1st over costed the Title Match for India and Aussie rattled up 350+

To Adam- Virat was never going to be able to smash spin and slower balls from the RSA bowlers. His job was to hold one end up till 47th over cause no one wants shami/Bumrah to come to bat.For India it is fine that Kohli goes about it at his own pace, he is the anchor of the team and is expected to bat long with others ensuring that the innings has momentum. Plus Kohli is cold as ice when chasing and he is forgiven for being slow.

Today’s was a boxing KO!🥊

Kohli's 100 is Superb and im happy that he's backs to his ton scoring form but i still believe he's not at his true best because whenever he's in run machine form he likes to whip the ball between long on and deep wicket using his bottom hand which gives him immense control against the spinners if the spin bowler pitches leg stump he whip the ball along the ground to boundary if the bowler over corrects his length and pitches it outside off Kohli immediately drills it through cover also in the death overs he uses that bottom hand whip to dominate fast bowlers also but for some reason he's not playing that shot too often anymore the last time Kohli really uses that bottom hand whip more he scored his first t20 hundread against Afghanistan i think because he's not playing that shot is the reason behind his low strike rates basically he almost scores his boundaries in cover drives only

❤❤❤india 🇮🇳💕 Australia 🇦🇺

When comparing number of innings taken for 49 centuries between Tendulkar and Kohli should also have to consider lots of other factors like:
- Bowling attacks they had to face
- Game is now more batting friendly than back in the days
- Most importantly role of DRS. Tendulkar had been out a lot of times due to unfair decision from Umpires. He could have made a lot more centuries had there been DRS in those days.

How many noticed Rohit did not let SA top order play Kuldeep Yadav.

This is some John Wick level stuff happening here
