After nearly five months of full-time travel across Europe, we finally found our favorite city and it completely surprised us.

We arrived in Budapest expecting a beautiful capital city. We left wondering why more people don't put it at the top of their European bucket list.

From stunning architecture and iconic bridges crossing the Danube to incredible food, vibrant markets, fascinating history, and world-class art, Budapest captured our hearts almost immediately. Five days wasn't nearly enough to experience everything this amazing city has to offer, and it's one of the few places we already can't wait to return to.

I am Hungarian from Budapest, I live in Spain since 15 years. Every time I visit home I am amazed how beautiful my city is❤ Thank you for this video I am so happy you enjoyed your stay.

Hey Jill and Robert! As a resident of Budapest, I often forget what treasures the city holds. You know, when you live and work here, you often don't have time to explore the city. It’s funny, but it’s often through videos like yours that I realize what a beautiful city I live in. I hope you enjoyed your visit—please come back and see us again sometime.

Great video - thanks. I am an American who has now lived in Budapest for 11 years. I came here for work and decided to stay after retirement. I live in the central city, I love the energy, the safety, and the beauty of the architecture. I love to travel, but I am also very happy when I can return home to Budapest. And, as mentioned in other comments, I am also very impressed that you pronounced our city correctly. In Hungarian the letter S is pronounced like SH.

So glad the algorithm brought me here! We’re doing a river cruise next year from Budapest up to Vilshofen. We will spend additional days before the cruise in Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia before landing in Budapest to begin our cruise, plus some days in Germany at the end. I was planning on two extra nights in Budapest before the river cruise but you mentioned so many great sites to see that I may have to add one or two more nights! I’ve also marked all of the things you mentioned on my Google Maps. Thank you for a great video!

Went to Budapest for the first time in may. Great video. I loved Budapest. The architecture. The Danube. The spas. The history. I always bring my skateboard on trips and skating by the parliament every night will always be top 3 places I’ve skated in my life. I’m definitely going back to do a river cruise from there.

We go to Budapest regularly because our daughter married a Hungarian and they both live in Budapest. I’m glad you had a good stay at the hotel, but for us, we found it better to find an Airbnb a little outside the city center and just take the fabulous transportation that Budapest has. We are going back next month and found a Airbnb for $69 a night, for a two week stay. My wife and I are 65+, so transportation is free. We also love walking Margit Island. Thanks for the nice video you created. I will share it with my friends.

Imagine we were skating in " Párizsi udvar " and homeless were sleeping there. It was a mess, but skating there...I'm so glad I was there at the time. It won't happen anytime soon in this life again.
