Very well done my friends!! Bravo! 👊🏼🙏🏻🥋

Please do more deep dive videos like this. In my opinion this is where your channel really shines and stands out from the rest. Your team's commitment to thorough research and well laid out presentation is refreshing.

Keep in mind when we say kickboxing took over MMA, we mean much more than simply the championship fighters. A lot of the best coaches and megacamps of all time are kickboxers, presidents of top MMA organizations, etc. We explain this in detail in the video, but just want to give you all a heads up on it. 👊

The reason kick-boxers transition more is because there is more money in MMA than kick-boxing.
The reason boxers don’t transition is because there is more money in boxing than MMA.

Student of the late great John Bluming here, Fantastic coverage of his legacy in the sport and seeing him being documented so well has made me feel very proud watching this video and I know many others that will feel the same way,

Thank you

Osu!

The range in boxing is closer, which plays into a grapplers style. It’s easier to avoid takedowns if your a kickboxer and tend to strike from further away. That’s one of the many reasons I believe.

Topics like this make me wonder why kickboxing isn't more popular in the states

And not a mention of Ramon Dekkers, the Dutchman who was the first Westerner to beat a Thai champion.

Kickboxing should be more popular here in the west, K1 Glory and ONE have had amazing events. On another note Bayliun was the perfect choice to narrate this one 👌

Every fight starts on the feet. - a famous kickboxer said.

Rip Andy Hug 🙏🏼 big striking influence on me. Gone way too soon.

I've been a watching this stuff for 25 years and remember when ISKA would come on ESPN2  and Muay Thai matches were a rare treat.   I appreciate the history of the martial arts and combat sports.  It's something that seems to be overlooked by many fight fans.

MMA On Point is killing it with these deep dive videos. Enjoying how they're giving us a history lesson on these subjects.

Man what a fantastic video

Thank you for showcasing karate as a part of kickboxing history

In 80 and 90 kickboxing was big

How Kickboxing Took Over MMA:  They learned wrestling (takedown defense, scramble, keep the fight standing)

This channel is so insanely consistent and this content really helps me to take my focus off the negative stuff going on.

Wow I had no idea many of these coaches and owners had these kickboxing credentials. Amazing. Great video man. So many knowledge gems in here. I could probably watch this ten times and still be gathering info.

Awesome video. I started Kickboxing when I was a kid in 1988. My father was a Full Contact fighter back in the 70's and 80's. He started Kickboxing and allowed me to train with him. I was 11 years old at the time. I grew up watching guys like Don the Dragon Wilson, Rick Roufus, and Dennis Alexio. While people wanted to be like Michael Jordan, I wanted to fight like those guys. I had my first fight at the age of 13 and I was hooked. I held on to my roots in Kickboxing when I started fighting in MMA. It makes me proud to see the history of the sport I love so much get some respect. Thank you for the video.
