BREAKING: Kouri Richin’s Sons Speak Out Before Her Sentencing

Hidden True Crime

130,316 views

In this episode of Hidden True Crime, Lauren Matthias breaks down the explosive filing in the Kouri Richins case, including chilling new allegations about the murder of Eric Richins, the state’s argument that Kouri “learned” from her first failed poisoning attempt, and the heartbreaking impact this case has had on the couple’s three young sons. Prosecutors reveal emotional statements from the children, including one son wearing his father’s clothes to school to feel close to him and another saying he would never feel safe if Kouri were released. We also unpack the prosecution’s claims of manipulation, greed, retaliation, and what they describe as Kouri’s “irredeemable character,” along with the massive restitution requests, protective orders, and the legal battle over whether she should spend the rest of her life behind bars.

She deserves the harshest sentence, she’s still not taking accountability and has zero remorse, there’s no rehabbing someone with that level of evil and lack of humanity

So glad this is being done on his birthday, the Richins family deserves to have this date!!!

She had that door locked so boys couldn’t get in, she literally watched Eric die… that’s demonic

I feel so sorry for poor Eric and his family, this narcissistic self-entitled monster has destroyed so many lives and should be, hopefully, given life without parole!

My heart hurts for the children. They have lost both parents. I am so glad the state is trying to protect them.

Hearing about their son wearing his father’s clothes AND what his statement said - I cried ! He’s terrified of Kouri and with GOOD REASON . Bless these kids and the entire family he left behind. Heart breaking.

It's a shame that these children have to feel this way toward their own mother. It's even worse that it is all her fault.

I have a feeling Mrazik isn’t going to show any mercy toward Kouri. He’s been the best judge throughout all of this.

My niece in law is close to some of the people who testified at the trial. She said the whole community that knew Eric said he was the nicest person.

What she did to those boys is horrific and her using them to deflect guilt is even worse.

To learn that your mother is a monster, a full-on psychopath, is a nightmare from which you can't wake up. The kids' necessary anger is a big part of their healing. Kouri must get life without parole. Give that family legal closure.

I cannot even begin to imagine how painful and difficult it must be for young children to process the fact that not only is their father gone forever, but that their mother is the one who took him away from them. What that horrible lady did is such a betrayal of all things a mother is supposed to be and do. Those babies lost both of their parents all because of her evil, selfish choices and that's just so completely unfair.

My heart is broken for the kids 💔 hope they find strength

She isn’t learning anything tomorrow. She thinks she’s going free someday regardless of what the judge says tomorrow. She said it herself in her messages to her admirer. She lives in a narcissistic state of perpetual delusion.

@torim1233 4 months ago

Lauren, please don't forget, Kouri poisoned her boyfriend ( before killing Eric) and killed his beloved dog. Pure evil.

@brendagainey2170 4 months ago (edited)

her speech at the sentencing is unreal. she is a completely a sociopath.

@hadenufff 4 months ago

Kouri callously and without an iota of care for her children intentionally killed their father!! She should NEVER be free to be around the children again!! She is a danger to them!! Please protect the children 🙏 💔

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SINCERE REPRESENTATION OF THIS CASE,

I am so happy those boys are speaking their truth. They will never fully heal, but it will help maintain some semblance of a normal life. Looking forward to LIVE sentencing tomorrow, can’t wait to see you all there 🥰 Can’t wait for Eric’s Day to be full of the justice him and his family so deeply deserve!
