This is probably the most nationalistic song of the new generation set in this fashion and it made me realize that Francis Magalona was ahead of his time to have proclaim Philippine pride when it was not common and majority of Filipinos would rather consume everything western. Good job @sb19official for bringing this song back to our consciousness. Thank you, DreamWorks for finally bringing a Filipino story in the forefront of animated films.

Now I know why they sang it at Lollapalooza 🤍 What an awesome rendition 🔥 😎

OH My! Nag-rap ba silang lahat? Thank you, SB19, for giving justice to Francis M's legacy.

🫡 to SB19, carrying on the legacy of Francis M.

SB19 breathed new life into “Mga Kababayan,” a timeless classic by the legendary Francis M.  Ang ganda ng rendition honoring the legacy while bringing their own color and soul to this iconic song.

I randomly watched The Forgotten Island and heard this banger. I tried searching for it, listened to the album tracks, and finally found this! I also love B.R.B.

This feels like a proper salute to Francis M. 🙌 SB19 really showed respect to the OG while giving “Mga Kababayan” their own flavor.

SB 19 has given justice to the late Master Rapper, Francis M. Pride of being  Filipino is  also totally captured in the SB 19 version in a new exciting rendition

when i saw forgotten island and heard mga kababayan i was impressed and didnt know it was sb19 who performed. that part was sooo cool!!!

It's still faithful to the original while adding the SB19 flavor. Almost like they collaborated with Francis M. And the additional instruments sound glorious.

Ginawa talaga nilang mas relatable ang tunog at flows ng iconic song nato... SOBRANG GANDA AT NAKAKA-LSS......SINONG NA GOOSEBUMPS JAN?

from one king to another.. FM will be Proud. Kudos SB19!

I didn’t even know who these guys were before this 😭 but that voice caught my attention. Now I’m going down the rabbit hole… 👀 Apparently, they’re one of the biggest boy bands in the world. This might somehow end up in my next outer space topic 😂.

Good morning, di magsasawang balikan ang SB19 version of this Francis M song, Congrats SB19 for giving this song a new touch of your artistry and creativity.

Yung rap of Pablo, Josh and Ken are already given pero yung kay Stell and Justin, OMG so satisfying!!! I get goosebumps everytime I hear it 😱😱😱

the utmost chills i got when this first played during the movie and we're introduced to the beautiful landscape of nakali island, like holy shit

CASUAL HERE NANDITO AKO KASI IM A SUPER FAN OF THE LATE MASTER RAPPER SIR KIKO.

Salute to SB19! 🇵🇭❤️ You’ve given this song a soul of its own and brought its message to a whole new generation.
Mabuhay ka, Sir Francis M! Your legacy continues to live on through the music. 🙏🎶🇵🇭

Fave line: "Meron namang kayumanggi (Meron naman kami)" 🥹
