What’s so special about Finkenwerder, the home of Airbus in Hamburg? Well, as it turns out, lots. In this video, I introduce myself (Airoplane Jane) and what I like to call ‘comfort content’ which basically means going out on my bike to the different plane spotting sites in Finkenwerder and capturing landings, take-offs and sometimes the odd cargo ship. High summer in Finkenwerder is beautiful and I’m not sure many visitors really get chance to explore the area but it has fantastic nature and a bizarre mix of high industrialisation (situated between the harbour and the Airbus factory) and bucolic bliss.
I am a Londoner, living here in Germany. In a world where content on social media and television can be anxiety-inducing, I intend for my content to be an antidote to all that. Slow, shot by hand, full of nature and the feeling of being out on your bike chasing planes.
