I remember the h5's when I was a kid, shame to see them gone :(

The chimes on the H4’s, 5’s & 6’s were so nice to listen to. The TR’s just aren’t the same when it comes to that.

Man do I miss the old Hawkers. It's so boring knowing you're going to get on a T1 or TR on their respective routes. I used to always hope that when I was waiting for the train it'd be an H5 or an H4 on the BD. Those days are gone :(

I miss the H5’s they were the best, they had the best stopping sound and buzz when you notice it pulling up even the door chime is old too, another thing about the H5s are that they were designed the way it was supposed to be designed and it was designed the right way.

🙏🏻RIP H5:
1978-2013

I miss the old trains. They gave Toronto a bit of character.

is my favorite part because you can hear the train stopping before the buzzing come on.

I wish they make a h7 or something and continue the hawker series

so weird to think that these older trains once coexisted with the now normal TRs...Line 1 used to be like the A Train in NYC where there were simultaneously the newest and oldest trains running on it and now its the modern line with Line 2 being outdated with both the trains and signalling system

@hellcat9405 4 years ago

Ayo anybody remember when the trains never had speakers that said: "Line 1, towards Vaughan"?

The only time I got an H5 was in 2005, and 2012 when I visited Toronto. What i miss about them is the door chimes :(
