This gives one a great appreciation for the workers many years ago when casting iron was the normal process for nearly everything from machine parts to cooking ware, measuring tools and decorative items. This was a long video. Glad I stayed until the end. I have been waiting for this one for Keith's part.

This whole sand-casting process STILL seems to be more a black art than a science. No wonder the ancient iron-workers who developed the techniques were usually regarded as magicians.  Great job guys!

I won't spend 2 hours watching a movie with my wife but I will spend 2 hours watching five grown adults play in a sand box. 🤣  So glad to see the pour was a success. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

By pushing past your comfort levels you guys are rediscovering the secrets of a noble lost art the only way possible--by actually doing it.  Hats off to your persistence and patience and knowing when perfect is the enemy of good.

Bless you all for the over two hours of video.  Sometimes it is the right thing to do to leave in the 'boring' parts so that we viewers can get a better feel for the hours of grunt work that a casting of this mass & complexity entails.  it was also a pleasure to listen to the banter between Clark, Keith, Casey and the others.  I'd not  recommend making every video a lengthy "warts & all" production, but in this case it worked well.  Keep up the good work, guys & gals!

An “ex spurt” is really just a drip under pressure.   You did it, therefore it was right.

My Dad was an old foundry guy and i have seen him cast a few things in his life, i also worked for the sugar Industry in Barbados at the now destroyed Andrews Sugar factory and i'm happy to see what went into casting rollers, just hope that you dont get to pour any the size that Andrews Factory had, those rollers weighed 13 Tons each, you know what you need to do to get the job, dont worry about the armchair warriors as theyre just hitting keys and youre actually getting it done, thanks for the video.
