This film in the Leicestershire & Rutland series is about the Midland & Great Northern joint line, focussing on the Leicestershire section which was operated by the Midland Railway, on a single track section from a larger railway, which I will cover a brief history of in order to bring context to the subject.

The Stamford and Essendine Railway closed in 1959, not 1963. The Stamford East station was closed to goods in 1963. The small section of the Stamford and Essendine Railway was kept to serve Mirlees Blackstone's until 1967.

That was good, thank you. No need for the kilometres though. We only use miles in Britain (see every road sign in the country).

I noticed you didn't mention Great Ponton railway station south of Grantham on the ECML
