Rest in Eternal Peace Cathrine O’Hara you will always be remembered for the wonderful films you made and your comedy genius

SCTV always blew SNL away for actual outrageous comedy, everyone on the show talented and funny. Harold Ramos became a brilliant writer and director.

I love it! They don’t make TV shows like this anymore. I’m glad I was around when this was popular. Great memories. RIP John Candy and Catherine O’Hara.

Andrea Martin was so talented. She was always hysterically funny.

Who would have guessed Eugene Levy and Cathrine O’Hara would have started out in comedy on the same show and the last collaboration would see them together again in Shitz Creek

I just can't accept that Catherine has passed. She was no only one of the most talented comedians ever, but she was such a beautiful woman in every way. God's Blessings to an unforgettable woman 🕊️🌠🙏

Gui Lefleure and Darrryll Sittlerr - Candy and Flaherty were amazing in this skit - freak'n hilarious! They turn the commercial into a French/ English battle.

So much better than SNL at the time. Way way way ahead of their time. It hurts to know Ramis, Candy, Catherine, and Joe, are no longer with us. Hoping Andrea, Dave, and Eugene are doing well. Heady, heady stuff- I used to force myself to stay awake to watch them after SNL because it was so much better. I can still here Spike Jones "Dance of the Hours" theme music when it came on. SCTV, NHL, and Walleye are greatesr gifts from Canada 🇨🇦 👍!

This show is my everything for the summer of 2026. Every time I look at any given Joe Flaherty character, I always become smitten and excited.

I am Canadian, a teen in the 1970s and 80s, yet I somehow never saw most of these skits. By gum, they are funny!

John Candy ---whether it was all his characters on SCTV or all his brilliant movies, he'll always be with us. And he was such an amazing father and family man. Gone far too soon. Blessings eternally
