Please note : I incorrectly listed the passage that stated "My name is Legion for we are many" as Matthew 8 - 28 when this specific line is from Mark 5 - 9. However both passages recount the same story so I guess I was half right? xD

Due to the evocation of the iconic line "our name is Legion...", then I'd say it's an incredibly safe assumption that the writers are alluding to the abrahamic concept of the devil.

It should be noted that some form of "Shaitan" is literally how Muslims write Satan's name, so there's that.

Satan: Means "The Opposer" or "The Accuser"

In most Abrahamic contexts, it is less of a name and more of a title, denoting Lucifer's role as one who tests the hearts of men by temptation and trial.

The possibility of Satan in 40k, has given me an idea that it's surprising no one in the community has picked up on.
Due to the timeless nature of the warp, warp entities should not be capable of loosing their power, unless they are consumed by something bigger, so because the number of people to ever believe in a thing does not change barring time travel the only factor in the power of a warp spawned entity is how connected to the warp the local area is. The Emperors mission was always in vain, and there is no way to defeat chaos without getting the Eldar and Necrons working together

More important question... Is the Abrahamic God still alive in the Warp? Was he Chaos Undivided before the split or is he simply a Warp entity who’s now uttering curses against the Skeleton on the Golden Throne?
