The part where the soldier tracked down the young lady to see if she had a scar on her face made me tear up a bit.

Nic and his wife have been together since HS.

These tears are for all of those that have died because of those conditions. And the soldier and young woman story. 😢

I watched it when Nick first released it. I truly enjoyed it a second time with your reactions. Thank you for doing this.

Not gonna lie, every time I see this video the part about Clark calling Lois and finding out she does not have facial scars; it brings tears to my eyes.

As far as Gliders in  movies, probably the best depiction is the classic "A Bridge Too Far". Which I'm sure you would really enjoy. It would make a great reaction also.

I just remembered who Nick reminds me of. Jeff Shaara who wrote the series on the Civil War. He took letters, official correspondence, and historical documents and created the stories of different battles through the eyes of the men on the ground. His books all fascinate the reader and keep you up late reading, not wanting to put the books down. They grip you like Nick's story telling. Good reaction. Thanks for sharing.

My cousin spent 38 months interned at Santo Tomas and later at Los Baños. The first time I saw Nick’s video, it was so cool to hear the other side of the story about her liberation

I love me a bit of Dan and Nick reaction Combo! ❤‍🔥

They used gliders during the D day jumps in normandy to capture 2 key bridges over the river Orne under command of Major John Howard.

You just can’t beat the story telling of Nick,
THE FAT ELECTRICIAN. I hated history all through school, but now I love it   Because of Nick. ❤

Gliders werent a surprise for me. We used a bunch of them in ww2 and were in all the books i read as a kid.

They do show gliders in Saving Private Ryan. They just show them crashed on the ground though. Not flying. If you remember that they placed an iron sheet into one of the gliders to protect an officer so it dropped like a rock? So yeah, it’s not completely unknown in the movie world.

The is a scene in saving private ryan where they are in a glider talking about how many guys they lost to protect 1 commanding officer, I believe it's the scene right before they start looking through the Dog tags

I believe Britain has a glider in a museum. However these were plywood with compressed air tanks assisting the controls!

'The Forgotten Battle'(2020) movie about a British Airborne Glider pilot. The movie on Netflix

The 11th. Airborne Division has been stood back up, brother.

i have seen this when it was released. I have tears in my eyes at the end about the baby story.

WARNING- War Story incoming!!! In 1982 while stationed in Germany, the MP unit (yep MP's) I was in, was put on an alert and we S.T.E.A.L a 1/4T Jeep trailer because our MTOE didn't give us enough to haul all our crap. We took it from the 1st Brigade HQ of the 8th Inf Division parking lot. Painted our bumper markings on it and used it. Every inspection we had? We had to stash the trailer lol. I left 3 years later in 1985 and my platoon STILL had it.

Crazy what is possible when leadership is capable, qualified and able of logical thought and action. 🤣
