I requested a modification to my late-model original Famicom, with its nostalgic red and white color scheme, to convert it to AV so that it could be used on modern TVs and displays.
Ideally, I would have liked to gather the parts and modify the circuit board myself, but I only had a soldering iron and didn't seem technically or time-wise able to do it, so I searched online and found Kato Productions.
If you can't do it yourself, I think it's best to ask a professional with a lot of experience.
Based on the public information available from Kato Productions, I felt they would carefully and reliably convert my Famicom into AV equipment with a deep love for the Famicom, so I asked them to do it.
I was prepared for it to take quite a while, knowing they would be a busy company, but the modification was completed in about two weeks from the time I placed my order to the time it arrived.
The modified Famicom retains its original appearance, but has been properly converted to AV and USB-TYPE-A, and even undergone thorough maintenance including contact restoration and circuit board cleaning, giving it a new lease of life.
As expected, the original red and white Famicom that I played as a child runs smoothly, unlike compatible machines, and I really love the nostalgic look that evokes the atmosphere of that time.

Microphone noise on Controller 2 is also eliminated, allowing for normal operation. Many Famicom controllers have inherent difficulty in controlling diagonal movements, even after maintenance. A unique input signal balance adjustment is also performed to improve diagonal movement. This is expected to improve scores, especially for shooters.)
