When I was in fourth grade, my cousin introduced me to gayatri mantra. I am 54 now till now I am doing this mantra.I have a photo of gayatri mata which I worship daily. I feel that I am safe and sound only because of this picture of mata in my house. I have told my son not remove the picture when I am no more. Such is my affinity to that picture

I’m a white American.   I knew who my Ishta Devata was at 20 and was always excited when I saw Durga on tv in the 70s.  Later I became obsessed with Kali.   Did enormous sadhana and had nirvikalpi samadhi at 22. Had to stop sadhana due to kundalini ascending and getting concussions.  7 years later I meet my guru and receive diksa in a Kali lineage.  6 months later I get darshan savikalpi samadhi of Kali just like Ramakrishna.  Ramakrishna is my Satguru and he’s the incarnation of Kali.  My guru and other monks had to test me for siddhis and it was confirmed.  

God will lead you to Her.   Every. Time.  You have to learn how to listen and not care what anyone thinks.  You do not have to do rituals.  You just have to throw yourself in the ground crying for Her.  Go straight to Her.   Waste no time.
