Lord’s is undoubtedly the most famous cricket ground in the world

Lord's is not just the Home of English Cricket but is know as "The Home of Cricket".

I think women’s sport is definitely bigger outside the US, and it’s only growing especially rugby and soccer

Australian women just won their 7th world cup title (out of 10) in July 2026.

Look at your growth in cricket, now you’ve got to know Bradman 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know that Lords is considered the home of cricket. I have never seen a tour of it though. Interesting.
My daughter has been around the MCG aka Melbourne Cricket Ground (which is also the home of AFL aka Aussie Rules Football too).
PS Women’s cricket has certainly come a long way. I would have loved to do that myself, if only it was around like that back in the 1980’s….Imagine being able to play it at this level. ❤

HEY GUYS. The first-ever recorded international cricket match was played between the United States and Canada from September 24 to September 26, 1844

I have done the Lords tour, it’s great, I was also present at the 1983 World Cup final which India won, a great match and incredible shock result

Yes, Lord's is the most famous Cricket ground. That's not the least bit controversial. it's just an undeniable fact.

Cricket is called ‘Gentleman’s Game”
However don’t know how many gentlemen are left in today’s day and age

For so many years women's sport has been secondary and the women didn't have the opportunity to play on these magnificent fields in these iconic stadiums. The MCG is the largest cricket ground in the world by playing surface and 2nd larget by crowd capacity. It is a legendary stadium and the advancement of women's sport is really shown in the fact it's no longer a surprise that the women are playing at the MCG or Lords.

The players having to walk through the assembled members is what total makes Lord's. Imagine as an Australian player, losing your wicket and then having to run the gauntlet of the English gentlemen having a warm beer.

For people who are new to cricket, just for context, current australian women's team is the best 11 players in entire cricketing history. they have 9 wicket taking bowlers from pace to spin and all 11 players are batsman. like 11th batsman of australia can score 50 runs with strike rate of 100

The food in the cricket ground is amazing, and you can buy bottles of champagne, wine and beer. Amazingly enough you can bring your own food and alcohol (1 bottle of wine only) bought from the grocery store nearby, these shops have sandwich platers etc, especially made for cricket events. Then there are the picnic hampers you can order to be delivered to the grounds, for pickup.

The Connecticut Cricket Hall of Fame shows first for you because you are searching whilst you are in the US.
It’s all based on your location algorithms.

The British never change.  They continue to keep what does not belong to them - The Prudential Cup and even the Ashes....

It is the same for the MCG membership, people sign up their children so later they can become members when they are adults.

Similar waiting lists apply to the Melbourne Cricket Club. Newborns are put on the waiting list so they have a chance of becoming a member in their 20s.

I don't know why but I have been repeatedly seeing these cricket videos on a 3 day delay for the last 3 or 4 now.
