People have only explained the metaphor of the song in the comment section, but they have left out that harry also insinuated that it’s basically about how he’s become aware of how his fans and the media will talk about him as he’s growing up, how they will constantly say “he’s changed too much” and “i miss the old harry” and how they criticize his looks every time he does something different with himself, hence the “it’s kind of sad, but it’s something i know, too many things for you to analyze.* talking about his experience. The whole song is him directly asking people if they’ll still love him even after he continues to grow and change as he becomes the best version of himself.

"Season 2 weight loss" is like a metaphor of when the first season of a series goes very well, so in the second season, the cast comes back more attractive in a physical way. He explained it in an interview.

“Season Two Weight Loss” is a metaphor for gaining confidence in the public eye. The song is not about actual dieting or physical weight loss; instead, Harry describes it as the “mission statement” for the album, exploring themes of personal evolution and returning as a “stronger version” of himself. The idea is when a show becomes a hit, and the cast returns for the second season looking “amazing” because they now have access to trainers and nutritionists.

I love this song. It is chaotic in the best way.

Harry has always been purposely enigmatic about the exactly how his lyrics touch his personal life, but he'll (sometimes) give some broad strokes of an idea. About this song and the title, he said that it was like one of those Netflix shows where the characters come back for a second season and suddenly they have cheekbones, and you can tell they got a trainer and a nutritionist and things of that nature. He also gave a vague blurb about coming back as a stronger version.

“Are you for sale if you’re cashing in cold”… Is he a sell-out for being such a huge success and making a lot of money when he probably just wants to be an interesting and respected artist?
