Remember watching that match in tv.

The first time I saw Oba Femi; I said that he is a bigger version of Butch Reed

Rest In Peace Butch Reed

The Black real Hacksaw, no shade on Jim Duggan.

I was at that match in the Superdome, I was about 5 1/2 years old, it was the first wrestling event I went to.

I was visiting Little Rock Arkansas that summer 1983 and saw this episode. Just prior to this interview and after the scene where the Fans picked Hacksaw Jim Duggan over Butch Reed to be JYD's partner. Butch Reed was pissed at the fans for picking Hacksaw Jim Duggan over him so Reed came out to the middle of the ring wearing yellow tights boots and bandana and called out King Kong Bundy! That was one hell of a Goddamn match! I don't know why Mid-South Wrestling never saved that match!! Reed fought Bundy to a stand still. Reed got on the top rope and did a slingshot shoulder tackle hitting King Kong Bundy but because the shoulder tackle was so powerful Reed shot himself out of the other side of the ring. Bundy grabbed Reed splashed him and pinned Butch Reed. THEN this interview had taken place.

Business is business especially when you want a title

Butch got mean and nasty for a season. He did fight back against Dick Murdoch and fended him off quite well. He wrestled Ric Flair to the limit.

The thing is Butch is right.

The Natural Butch Reed!
Ran with Buddy Landel for a bit..
Then Butch turned face!
Also Doom!!!! WCW

Who was that, that came in to jump Junk Yard dog?  (4:08)

Glad you know Bill Watts was concerned about race relations in America. 😆

Is Mid South Wrestling still in business?
