Sure Joel is calling the mound group a cult but that ending with everyone around the statue watching those who failed push the button felt very cultish.

Martyn and Jimmy - the riskiest man on the server with the unluckiest man on the server. Sounds like a recipe for content.

Martyn and Jim got that long time bff energy, similar to Imp and Skizz, Bdubs and Etho, Mumbo and Grian. Nothing is ever awkward or for show.

The way that Martyn plays just constantly raises my blood pressure! He’s the only player on this server that makes me want to scream out “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, MARTYN?!!!” Love your videos man!

martyn continues to give his viewers heart attacks back to back in this series...

edit: task idea!!;
gaslight people (minimal of 6-10?) into believing someone had already failed their task without being caught/found out by that person

I've never been more afraid to watch a life series video after being spoiled by other prespectives

martyn’s workaround to complete his task by crediting his build from the previous session to scar and making jimmy burn it down using jimmy’s own existing shack-rivalry to his advantage…. is so genius. it’s been years and i still think of this, i’m always floored by martyn’s plays.

I know Jimmy had the canary curse, but teaming up with Martyn when Martyn is manifesting so much wet cat energy, this may be the season the curse is broken! Or transferred? 👀

love that martyn has somehow gone from the heights of winning the previous season to now being the designated Wet and Pitiable (/pos) player. pearl managed to win her season while being the wet and pitiable, so i’m interested to see how martyn can use this perception to his advantage, given how he tends to play these games very socially!

Martyn... if you keep playing like this, Jimmy will be the second one out of the series

Based on how first deaths have been in previous seasons, that means Martyn could be second person or the second to last person out of the series, or anything in between.

I just wanna let you know that the rhyming things with “mound” bit made me really happy since I have “Martyn makes 3+ puns in a row” on my Life Series bingo card.

Task idea: Get Mumbo to say: “It’s simple, really!” In any context (bonus points if it’s for Redstone contraptions/j)

theory: martyn is having an incredibly rough time this season because the watchers didnt like how he won last season. he might just be the one to break the canary curse LMAO /hj
edit) replies brought up some good points with him hitting jimmy at the start and then pairing up with him 💀if not being first out, being the first yellow is a surefire sign of the effect of hanging around jim

Does Martyn remember that you get really good extra loot for every heart you would get back over the full 30 amount? Like instead of replacing hearts you just get better loot because you have to get some kind of extra reward.

1:09 - Well, luckily for Martyn, he is on the same server as GoodBurnTheWholeWorldForAPetTimesWithScar

Yeah, I think Martyn's gonna break Jimmy's canary curse. I mean, what insanity made him think going into a bastion remnant, a structure with tons of blind spots and unreliable paths of escape and full of super dangerous, super hostile mobs, was a good idea in a series with no regen?!?! If this dude wants to stand a chance, he's gonna have to SERIOUSLY commit to giving up on risks.

So, in 3rd Life Martyn almost killed Skizz in the Nether, in Last Life he did kill Mumbo in the Nether, in Double Life he almost killed Pearl in the Nether and now he successfully killed himself in the Nether

Martyn and Nether really don't have that good of a track record, huh...

kinda made me sad to hear pearl say no one just randomly compliments her because she's very deserving of compliments she's a beautiful soul fr

So no one's going to talk about the last bit where Martyn laughed at Jimmy's interesting design choice and said everything's big in the shack
