"Religion began when the first con artist met the the first fool." - Mark Twain

Her reaction is typical really when he makes a good point that religious people can’t refute with an intelligent response.  They get angry.

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
― Epicurus

"Without religion, good people can do good and evil people can do evil. But to get good people to do evil things? That requires religion." - Steven Weinberg

she did not get any of this

Like watching the brain shut down on some of that. Denial is a helluva drug.

She took this bit personally.

She is an example of small mind who can't be opened even with common sense or reason, plenty of this kind of people in the world 😂

Joe Pesci is indeed an actor who usually plays tough characters, including gangsters.

Since you watch this see his take on "The Ten Commandments"

You might like to watch George Carlin's take on the Ten Commandments next.

What would you tell a mother who had to watch her child die in agonizing pain from bone marrow cancer, even though she sincerely prayed for his life? "You can't expect God to do that. Come up with a cure yourself." Something like that, I suppose?

Being "Spiritual" and being " religious" are as different as daylight and darkness and are NOT intended to be the synonyms that many religious people try to pretend they are and try to label themselves as ! yw

"people use God to take money" exactly!

Watching her get mad is the funniest thing ever

Aside from making people laugh (and making bank) George also got you two to do what he set out to do, which was to make you think, make you question yourselves, which helps you to evolve through critical thinking.  If in the end you still hold onto your own personal beliefs, so be it!  Btw, Joe Pesci (Good Fellows, My Cousin Vinney, Home Alone) and George were good friends and supposedly was in the audience that night!

Be a good person while alive...the rest will take care of itself. - Duke

Religion is for people who can't deal with reality

Faith = belief without evidence .

NEVER tell a Woman to shut up, man. She will make you REGRET IT.
