• Prior Research: Before booking, I thoroughly checked the official entry requirements (including cross-referencing with AI travel tools). All available information at the time stated that Dutch passport holders did not require a visa for stays up to 90 days.
• Policy Changes: Policy updates often take time to reflect publicly. Official travel websites were only updated months after this incident occurred in February 2026.
• Visa on Arrival Rules: Even under updated guidelines, visa-on-arrival options are generally meant to accommodate travelers at border control, making an immediate denial and forced departure exceptionally drastic.
• The Process: Being subjected to Interpol checks, having the validity of my passport questioned, and being forced to arrange an immediate return ticket rather than resolving the visa paperwork on-site is not a standard or transparent experience for any traveler.
I am sharing my actual, lived experience to highlight how being a Targeted Person for Elite/Corporate Retaliation travels far, making Namibia border control unpredictable and corrupt. Enforcement and rapid policy changes can affect normal travelers. Constructive discussion is welcome, but victim-blaming without knowing the facts isn't helpful.
