I think the mom taking everything from the niece is a perfect way to teach her if you wouldn't want somebody to steal from you you shouldn't steal from somebody else it's karma

Roblox expert here: there are some games within Roblox that have their own currency that do not depend on robux. You do not have to purchase this currency but it takes a lot of time to build up. I think that is what the daughter is referring to, I do not think that 60k actual dollars was actually spent, which is why she also told the niece to “work her way up” per se

It’s not just about a game. It’s about how OP’s niece believes she’s ENTITLED to other people’s things because her life is currently worse than OP’s daughter and refusing to believe she’s done anything wrong which her mom obviously encourages or let’s her get away with. It doesn’t matter how much worse your life is at the moment it doesn’t give you a free pass to behave badly.

This is one of the things I struggled with the most as a parent is understanding how much these games mean to my son's and why they get so passionate about it.

Talking about women who are sick and tired of their husband’s behavior, my Mom is divorcing her husband (my Dad) of 30+ years.

Sometimes you can love someone but not be IN love with them. And that situation just brought that realization to OP.

We’re just going say taking everything from the niece’s roblox account is like collecting interest on a loan. OP’s daughter “loaned” her cousin her Roblox funds against her will. The funds have been paid back and since they weren’t paid back quickly, they’ve collected interest and The National Bank of OP is simply taking what’s owed 📈📊😂🥴

The caller's story hit so close to home. Then she said she was hispanic and I was like ah yes, of course! We both lived the typical Hispanic childhood 😂

In the second story the husband is letting his dad create a wedge in his marriage by displacing them.

If it’s your parent it’s your job to protect your relationship from them (in situations like this), don’t put that on your partner

I’ve been more concerned about the fact of the items was worth $1500 which means she stole $1500 worth of things is the principle of the thing it’s not what she stole. It’s how much it was worth the committed grand larceny.

The caller saying she had "no freedom as a child" cause her mother gave her a 10pm curfew is crazy to me. I wasn't allowed out of the house period, didn't matter what time of day it was. I could only go outside on my way to school and then as soon as school ended I had to be right back home. This continued even throughout college when I was 19-20 years old.

I absolutely loved the ending to the roblox story

Oooh I've never heard the final update of the Roblox story. Delicious!
Totally deserved.

Niece learned a valuable lesson about commingling funds

It so interesting to watch people talk about Roblox before it was exposed for protecting and barbering PDFiles.

You can tell the niece hasn't ever had to work for anything but rather an entitled child.

My kid’s friends always thought it was awesome that I’d let them finish their level or be quiet while they’re trying to beat a boss and never walking in front of the TV unless they told me I was good to cross

"dont let your dad live.......with you." 😂😂😂 Dude, that pause!

@D3ATH_Before_Dishonor 2 years ago

For robux, the reason these things add up so much, is ALSO BECAUSE... Some items are earned via gameplay. They can then be sold for robux, based on market value. SOME items can get incredibly valuable, depending both on the items asthetic, as WELL as the achievements, they represent.

Basically. Their daughter WORKED for these items, and they have real world value AS WELL as in game value. Even just one of these would be enough in this situation, for op to not be the a hole. The rw monetary value, is just another nail in this coffin.

It shouldn't even matter how important the roadblocks are to her it's the fact the 10 year old did something wrong no matter how old the other person is she should have to correct her wrongdoing and if her mother isn't going to teach her that then I am very glad the aunt is willing to because that is going to help her out in the long run of life
