I used to wear my hair like this when i had locs. we call it "loc knots" and if you do them neatly the knots look great as a style on their own. Then take it down a week or so later to have waves or curls depending on the length of the hair. Interesting to see you do them with marley hair. thanks for being creative and sharing this.

I actually loved this look very much. It's just too much hair for me to deal with.

What is the maintenance like? How do they look after a couple months?

@Sunshyn3Sam 11 years ago

Maybe you could do a Bantu knots on the other wig.

Youre so beautiful ❣️💛

It looked like that cuz it didn't look like you combed/detangled the hair. I'd like to see you do your next wig with extra large flexi rods for a softer flowy look.

Did you ever try again with different hair?

its cute, the ends just look heavy, so maybe that's what you don't like? also, that kind of hair tends to need to be combed/brushed out before the hot water, otherwise the curl looks flat and almost melted. i think it's due to adding texture on top of something already textured, so it looks heavy. especially with 'roots' that are kind of straight and ends that are super curly, so there's not enough volume on top. if you're looking for suggestions (wouldn't normally advise if you didnt ask!), i would say to brush it out (or just put a low blow dryer on each curl for a few seconds to loosen it) and redo it

Have you done Bantu knots? I don't know if it's possible but I would love to see it so I can make me one too.
