Step inside a Georgian townhouse in Islington, transformed by interior designer Emilie Fournet into a colourful, characterful family home.
When Emilie’s clients bought the house in 2020, much of its original Georgian detailing had already been stripped away. The challenge was to bring that sense of history back - without making the house feel like a period piece.
In this house tour, Emilie takes us through the spaces she created, from the joyful kitchen, where sunny yellow meets deep purple, to rooms layered with antiques, vintage finds, contemporary pieces and expressive pattern.
Restored architectural details now sit alongside a more personal, modern way of living, creating a home that feels collected rather than overly designed - warm, eclectic and full of personality.
Come inside and hear Emilie talk us through the thinking behind the project, the details that make each room work, and how she balanced the character of the Georgian house with the needs of a young family.
