This movie truly touched me. Of all the AI-generated movies I’ve watched, this is the first one where betrayal was never part of the story, and that made it so refreshing.
What stood out most was Dan’s perseverance. He worked and sacrificed until he saved $3 million to pursue school in Canada, only to learn that his mother had been carrying a secret debt left behind after his father passed. He used the money he had worked so hard to save to clear that debt, putting his dream on hold for his family.
But he didn’t stay down.
With Alexa’s encouragement, he returned to his gift of drawing and created a piece that was eventually auctioned for $20 million. And instead of forgetting where he came from, he made sure his mother had a sustainable business and that his sister was doing well in school before continuing his journey to Canada.
That is what I loved about this movie. Dan got knocked down, but he kept getting back up. Every setback became another reason to keep going.
There was genuine love between Dan and Alexa, family loyalty, sacrifice, trust, and eventually even the understanding and blessing of Alexa’s father.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE is a beautiful reminder that perseverance doesn’t mean you’ll never fall—it means every time life knocks you down, you find the strength to stand again.
