In this xTool M2 print and cut test, I’m printing the same personalized Christmas ornament on bare basswood, spray-painted basswood, clear inkAID, white inkAID, white acrylic, white MDF, and sublimation ornament blanks to see what actually works.

I’ll also show you how to set up a print then cut project in xTool Studio, how to print on wood with the xTool M2, how inkAID affects print quality, and which materials I’d actually use for making and selling personalized ornaments.

Some of these results REALLY surprised me. I expected the smooth white surfaces to print the best, but that definitely wasn’t always the case!

By the end, we’ll compare all 8 xTool M2 print tests side by side and find the best materials for xTool M2 printing, including my favorite option for print and cut wood projects and the one I’d choose for making ornaments in batches.
