In this episode, Doug Schaupp and David Gustafson discuss the “five thresholds” of people on their journey to faith in Christ. These thresholds are: 1) from distrust to trust of a Christian, 2) from complacent to curious, 3) from being closed to open to change in life, 4) from meandering to seeking, 5) to crossing the threshold of the Kingdom. These five thresholds not only help Christians understand how to engage people at different thresholds but the thresholds may themselves be a means to talk with people about their own spiritual journey.
Doug Schaupp serves as the National Director of Evangelism for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA. He is a graduate of Fuller Seminary. He is a co-author of I Once Was Lost and Breaking the Huddle. Doug is a father of three, and has coached all of their soccer teams.
