India survived a tense chase against West Indies after their top order collapsed, eventually completing the pursuit of 192 on a slow and low West Indies pitch.

West Indies struggled to build momentum after early wickets and reached just 191/6. Marlon Samuels provided the key injection of urgency with a fighting half-century, while Ramnaresh Sarwan's cautious innings left the hosts struggling for runs during the middle overs.

India's chase began brightly but quickly became difficult. After losing wickets regularly, India were reduced to 104/4 as West Indies' legspinners Devendra Bishoo and Anthony Martin kept the scoring under control. For more than 13 overs, India failed to hit a single boundary.

Then came the crucial partnership.

Rohit Sharma and captain Suresh Raina steadied India with an important stand, combining aggressive strokeplay with hard running between the wickets. Rohit transformed his innings, moving away from his early slogging approach and scoring through singles, twos and calculated shots.

Raina contributed a busy innings before falling while trying to finish the game during the Batting Powerplay. Rohit continued despite dehydration and cramping, eventually guiding India through a difficult chase.

Rohit's most memorable shot came when he launched Darren Sammy over the boundary with a superb inside-out six. He and Raina added 80 runs in 14.3 overs, putting India back in control.

West Indies fought until the end, but their low total and India's late resilience proved decisive.
