R33 GTST DRIFT BUILD - EPISODE 1

Episode 1 of the 1993 Nissan Skyline R33 GTST drift build.

In this episode we picked up the new Skyline drift build project and bring it home. After sitting in the garage for a few months, it was time to get stuck into the build.

Sadly, we sold the AU Falcon to help fund the Skyline and focus our time and effort on one build.

We jacked the R33 up, cleaned out and sorted through the interior, ordered a heap of new parts and started pulling the engine apart. With some help from the boys, we get the RB25DET engine out and onto the engine stand ready to strip down.

The plan was to attempt a leak-down test before sending the engine off
to get machined and hot washed, but things didn't quite go to plan with the leak down test.

The previous owner told us the engine had been freshly rebuilt... once we pulled it apart, it was pretty clear that definitely wasn't the case.
