"Hodo Station" has revamped its concept and design for the first time in five years.

The new concept is:
【Looking at the world as it is now.】

And thus, the new theme song, "Acta," was born.

Composer Yuta Bandoh took on the challenge of translating the world's "speed" and "amount of information" into sound.

With its irregular time signatures and dizzying key changes, the performance was so challenging that even BIGYUKI, who is active on the world stage, described it as "challenging" and "nerve-wracking."

The recording featured the contributions of up-and-coming musicians, including the talented New York-based drummer Jharis Yokley, Grammy Award-nominated vocalist Michael Mayo, saxophonist Kei Matsumaru, and trumpeter Yusuke Sase.

The video was created by filmmaker Atsushi Makino.

The striking opening sequence, featuring shadows appearing on a white cloth, is actually not created using CGI.

Ms. Makino meticulously pressed over 140 three-dimensional objects onto the cloth for the final shot. The filming process lasted over 13 hours.

How did these two artists express the ever-changing "present" through sound and visuals?

We followed the behind-the-scenes story of the creation of the new opening sequence for "Hodo Station."
