I can't believe I got to do this! Thank you so much everyone who participated, watched, helped out! Love you all! Never stop believing in yourself and you can do anything you put your mind to! Anyone can speedrun!!!!

this sloppy, unoptimized run managed to be one of the most fun speedruns I've seen! major props to everyone who participated. loved the revolutionary air strafing tech.

Goated run holy shit. I love these gimmick runs gdq is starting to have more of now, the crazy taxi with a backing band run from last year is legendary

u know its gonna be good when the run is 15 minutes longer than the estimate

Now we just need a 120 relay with 120 different runners

This was great! I loved the attitude of the commentators, encouraging people to go for tricky strats even if restarts ended up costing them time in the long run. It really made it feel like a community showoff, rather than a stressful timed thing.

Congratulations to all the runners, and especially to my buddy Echo!

Been a speedrunner since the end of 2023 and I have never seen something so completely embody the whole point of speedrunning - the community and the fun. The stories of what people were doing to prepare and what kind of stars they asked for warmed my heart!

It was so fun to participate in the relay! I hope y'all liked the mips catch in the game and the "mips" catch in real life! Shoutouts to Joey for having me and GDQ for letting us do this lmao

One of the most fun GDQ runs I've ever seen! Especially liked the positive energy even if something didn't work out instantly

My favorite run of the entire event! truly surprised at 0 game overs, what a chaotic blast this run was!!

It was an absolute honor to be the 3rd person on the relay and starting off for the Fatales in the relay!! Something not mentioned was my childhood cartridge of SM64 was used for one of the 4 backup carpetless which is amazing! shoutouts and thank you Joey again for this amazing opportunity for not only me but for the rest of the runners for the event! <3

one power star per person, im pretty this is the kind of power and wealth redistribution marx was talking about

This was genuinely one of the greatest things I've gotten to witness in all my years of browsing the internet. Seeing so many amazing diverse speedrunners from all over the space participate in this and seeing all the incredible strats, hilarious fails, and energetic commentary with the chat was incredibly euphoric and goes to show why events like this matter so much. Thank you to all the runners and event organizers for setting this up and bringing it to life, and thank you especially to KingjO444 for hosting it and getting this to happen.

The spirit of speedrunning and GDQ. Everyone can run, everyone is welcome. Learn, help each other, improve, be friends. And of course – have fun.

Bro that 1up was devious

Carpetless was just the cherry on top of a fun and hilarious relay! Congrats to all of the runners, whether they did the hardest stars or the easiest, you were part of something great and you should be proud of it!

I'm old enough to have grown up with this game so it's WILD to hear only a small amount of runners never played it before! I think this relay is such a wonderful idea, it shows how accessible both SM 64 AND speedrunning can be! Here's to many more fun runs to come!

one of the hypest gdq runs ever. felt like a nice victory lap for the whole event

Seeing this live was the most fun I’ve ever had watching a speedrun, especially getting to witness the new air-strafe tech
